Guerrero "Electric Residential Service" I bought this lamp for store decoration, but it's got some major flaws. 1. SAFTEY: The top lamp places loosely over the bottom half of the lamp, making it unstable and dangerous for children to be around it, as it is quite heavy should they tip the thing over or have an accident by touching it as it is hot! 2. The light bulb that comes with the lamp is weak. It does not light all the way to the top and the liquid is not blue-like as it is on Amazon's picture. I gave it an extra star, because it is nice to look at and if you look at it without sunlight about 50% of the tube lights up with the lava, other than that it's, more than expensive, an unsafe adornment to have around the house or a business where kids are to be around. 6 of 7 found the following review helpful: Piece of junk- dangerous  Dec 30, 2009 By jcran This looks pretty but ours burst suddenly about two hours after being turned on. They look great and perform the same.This was a great price and FAST shipper. Arizona is very happy!! NOTE: I have tried a few times to order a Grande style lava lamp( not from this company) but when they arrive the water is always cloudy. So I have decided to go with these 55 inch tube style and they definitly ship alot better. I also put these on a timer for about 6 hrs, after a hour or two these babies are bubbling like mad:) groovey just like the picture  Jan 16, 2011 By sarah After reading most of the other reviews I decided to buy this for my 15 year old for Christmas. It was in perfect shape when we got it. The water is blue even after having it up against a dark teal green wall. The wax goes up about three quarters of the way. Her room has no Windows so its dark enough to enjoy the brightness of the lamp. Like any other lava lamp it gives off heat. We are happy with this product. See all 7 customer reviews on Amazon.com
