 great for adults and just the right size for an office desk Apr 17, 2009
I have a lava lamp at work and I love it. The lamp has a calming effect on me when I need a few moments to unwind. The only problem is that the lamp is on a base and I am always worried that someone will knock it over it is not nearly as sturdy as I would like. The other issue is that it gets REALLY HOT as in burn your fingers hot. Leaving the lamp on overnight would not be a good idea. For these reasons I would be hesitant to buy for a younger child.
All in all the lava lamp is an excellent addition to my already cluttered work desk. It was worth every dollar!

the product was as written/described.....in this particular case it was a Christmas present for a teenager who had this on his wish list....I was happy to comply...He was thrilled...

Hypnotically tasteful Sep 24, 2008
This is a good lamp. I haven't had any problems with mine yet. I bought this one as a replacement for my last one, which I ruined by shaking. DON'T SHAKE IT. That's true for pretty much every motion lamp made. The colors are pretty, the movement is hypnotizing. Just don't forget to turn it off, because it's not made to run more than eight consecutive hours.

if you consider a cheap option for your queen bed, this could be a nice one but if you want something more long lasting try other brabd
