My least favorite color in the world is blue! Yet, for some reason, my room attracts it. There are a lot of blue things here. Even my current shirt from Johnson Space Center is BLUE, but that is aside from the point. And rather irrelevant to the review. Anyway, - this lava lamp is worth it. Though it is slow at getting heated up it is great once it gets there! No fires, yet. It's safe. I did have something sticky tacked to the lamp to make it look even more Trek, but then I thought it was probably a fire hazard. But it did well. So, all said and done, this lamp is a great buy, not bad for the price. I do wish it was a tad taller though. Or maybe my constellation should be a tad shorter. Either way, -I highly recommend this for anyone not just a geek like me. Have fun, enjoy the lamp more than this.

I bought this as a present for my boyfriend and the lightbulb did not work so we had to go buy a new one. But, once we got it working it worked pretty good. For some reason the liquid doesnt' seem to move around as much as most lava lamps the stuff kind of sits at the top. But,that could also be because of the different bulb I had to buy.

To be truthful, I am/was not happy with this lava lamp. The lamp is very murky and the glass has tiny bubbles all over it which makes it even harder too see. My daughter has a lava lamp that is crystal clear and looks beautiful. I did not feel like going through the hassle of returning it. I purchased it as a gift for my son.

I got this blue lava lamp with the white lava, but the lava actually looks green. I've never had a
lava lamp before so I not sure if it's supposed to be like this, but it takes 30 minutes to heat up and get the lava moving and the a few more minutes for the lava to move a a good speed. I had to buy a timer to attach to it so it would turn it's self off after a certain amount of time. But I really like it. It looks great, It serves its perpose, and its very classic so it would look good in any room.

Awesome lava lite, It works great. I have 2 of them, The other i bought in 1997. It is a black one with clear liquid and teal lava, Still works after all these years. I love the new one, The blue liquid and white lava looks great in my bedroom.
