A family favorite Dec 28, 2009

I bought this for my nephew for his 11th birthday. He LOVES it and so do his parents. It is bigger and sturdier than it looks. Very smooth curves and illuminates the room to create a unique atmosphere. I got the "cool aunt" award for this gift. :)

My daughter was begging me for something like this she found in a magazine. The one she showed me looked pretty lame and was more pricey than this one. I took a chance and got her this one for Christmas. I have to say that this is absolutely beautiful. The colors and patterns are wonderful.
It actually looked bigger than I expected.
Often times better to watch this than the garbage on TV.

Bought this a few week ago and hardly ever turn it off. It's a beautiful lamp and I enjoy watching the current run through it. The blue and green are stron but the red is a little lacking. I do thouroughly love this lamp and am considering purchasing another, if I can find one.

Has been holding up for over 2 years, and it has been on almost the entire time. Looks sweet and goes well in my blacklight room. A great buy if you are looking for trippy eye candy.

"Derpity herp derp."
so I asked her "You mean a Van de Graaff generator?" She assured me she did not want a Van de Graaff generator, she wanted a plasma ball.
I ignored the request and got her this multi-colored a Van de Graaff generator instead. I figured it was a gamble, but I must she was quite pleased with it and thinks it's one of the coolest gifts and eight year old could have gotten.
She's figured out how to turn off one leg or the other by placing her hand at just the right point, she's figured out how to shut off only the top section by putting her hands on both sides down low, and she's figured out just how to zone out staring at it in general.
Setup was a breeze.
My only complaint is there were some scuffs and black marks that looked like they may have been from the point of manufacture, a true cottage item. I was able to clean those off and I must say it really looks cooler than these pictures give credit for.
