I loved it while it lasted but mine quit working after just 2 seasons. The laser "beam" appears to be shooting off the left (not even through the lens) and it smells like it is burning up inside. Finally, it blew the fuse in the plug-in - no clue what's wrong. Mr. Christmas only covers it for 90-days. Very disappointed with this product only lasting 2 seasons ... it was too expensive to last only that long in my opinion. Would not recommend this product.

I purchased this last year in Oct 5, 2010. In Nov.26,2010,from Holiday Projectors it work for 21days, I sent it back only to find out Mr christmas dose not replace it anymore. they stop making this unit.It took over 7mos to get a refund from Holiday Projectors .

Our house is on a corner with a fairly bright streetlight that illuminates the house front. The projector could not overcome the streetlight. If it had been able to, this would have been a five star product.

I recently purchased this and the one I received is much more sophisticated then the one shown. It includes multiple controls to select the event (Christmas, New Years, Birthday, etc.) the song, the sound/volume control, a digital timer and several other controls I am still trying to figure out. It also includes a slot for a cartridge for additional events. The only reason I don't rate this 5 stars is the documnetation for all the features is incomplete.

I've had this for over 4 years and use it for Halloween and Christmas each year projecting animated moving images onto the top of my garage. This is an amazing professional decorating device for Christmas Halloween, New Years and Birthdays.
Mine I guess is the deluxe one with all the controls and bought from Johns Bargain Superstore or something like that here on Amazon (not sure if Amazon or its sellers still sell the deluxe), timers and switches and could not be happier. I used this again into my 5th year for Xmas 2011 and it's still holding up. As others have mentioned this looks best in a very dark environment for a large laser display or good in any environment if your projecting from less than 5 feet from the laser. I may see how this looks projecting from the inside of my house on a shower curtain in front of my window and will use a screen without words so the words don't show up backwards. Too bad it's not multi-color but red lasers works for me. Also mine makes sound with it's built-in speakers but no one hears it because at this price (paid about $350) I hook it up to my outdoor timer and keep in in my car and project the laser through my windshield onto my garage (this may also explain why I have no problems). Lastly I do wish Mr. Christmas had other cartridges as they made a slot for adding other laser shows but I don't think that never happened and I keep looking here to see if Amazon sells them. Great High Tech Decoration that looks better and generally will last longer that any outdoor decoration or inflatable!
