Fun and relaxing! Jul 28, 2010 Nice to lay in bed, listen to your music and look at the stars :)

ehhh.... Mar 23, 2009 Was initially disappointed that the stars are GREEN, yes GREEN. I have never in my life seen a green star, so I thought there must be a control that would change the color to something more natural...say.....WHITE? No such luck. The cloud formation is pretty cool (they are blue btw), you can turn that feature off, which is the only variation to whole system. No speed control, color variation, just clouds or no clouds. Finally thought the look was cool, and liked the shooting star effects, when all of a sudden the laser for the stars goes out (within 7 months of purchase) permanently. Now I can only do the cloud, which is the least exciting aspect of the 'system'. I will say that the stars were very sharp and crisp, and the movement was cool, but for the price this should have lasted at least 2 years IMO. If you have lots of cash to throw away, you might be happier with it than I was.

sharper image laser stars Dec 18, 2008 I bought this $215.00 laser show for my sons 8th birthday the show itself was awsome although then green laser that makes the stars quit working not even a year later!!! It sat on top his book shelf, not touched except to be turned on at night. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!! We were even sold the extended warrenty which is worthless now that they closed there doors!! They ripped us off!!! They knew they we're closing n sold it to us anyway JURKS!!

Wish I could rate this ZERO Mar 31, 2008 This is a horrible product. It did nothing is said it could do. My ceiling looked like a bunch of bugs running across it. Look at the homestar planetarium or uncle milton... a great product that I recently bought after I returned this product!! MILLION TIMES BETTER and CHEAPER!!!

Two units broke in one month, but beautiful! Jan 09, 2008 I purchased mine from Sharper Image. Each unit sat untouched on the dresser and were not handled aside from off/on switch. Both the first unit and replacement unit broke within 2-3 weeks. Fan becomes loud and have to knock on it to quite it down until it eventually just stays in a loud whirring mode. Second unit began loud whirring and green laser/stars stopped functioning altogether (even with the love tap). I have opted not to take my chances again! It WAS beautiful, though...daughter loved it at bedtime, you could stare at it for hours and never quite see the same pattern. Very dreamy! With such a VERY poor track record, I don't recommend it! The store even gave me grief about returning the second unit past 60 days since it "goes by the date of the first purchase, not the replacement swap." They gave in when I pointed out the absurdity of that logic, but still, a lot of grief for a lot of money!
